Morning Skincare Routine
Whether you're a pro or fairly new to skincare, you'll know that having a good skincare routine is very important if you're wanting healthy, plumped and glowing skin. Here's what I love doing during my morning skincare routine.
Step 1: Cleanse with an oiled-based cleanser. Why? The helps break up and lift any dirt off your face.
Step 2: Cleanse with a water-based cleanser. Is it necessary? Yes. A second helps remove anything that your first clean away doesn't pick up and preps your skin for the following steps.
Step 3: Toner. Purpose? Helps hydrate skin, balance the pH level on your skin and allows other products to absorb better into your skin.
Step 4: Essence. What's that? High concentrate of active ingredients. Also an additional layer of hydration to the skin.
Step 5: Serums. How's that different from essence? Serums target a certain issue on face; dryness, sunspots, dull skin ect. Types of serums are Hyaluronic acid serum & Vitamin C, ect.
Step 6: Eye Cream. Is it needed? Yes if you want to get rid of wrinkles and brights under eye.
Step 7: Moisturizer. Why is it needed? Moisturizer helps maintain hydration in your skin. It also acts like a locking agent that locks the good juice from your products in Step 3-6.
Step 8: SPF 30 or higher. But my foundation contains SPF? Protect your skin!! SPF in products like founfation isn't enough to protect your skin!
